Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A major operation multiple security agencies launched against a terrorist cell hideout in the northwestern city of Salt on Saturday came to an end on Sunday, State Minister for Media Affairs, Jumana Ghunimat announced.

The operation was launched following an improvised explosive device explosion that targeted a Gendarmerie patrol van on Friday in Fuhais, outside Amman, and killed member of security force in the area.

Ghunimat said the Salt operation led to the killing of three terrorists and the arrest of five others. Four members of the joint security force fell during the operation, the minister, who is also Government Spokesperson, added.

She indicated that security agencies continue to comb through the scene after the house the terrorists below up during the operation was demolished by competent authorities today.
