Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Temperatures on Wednesday are forecast to hover around their annual average; bringing moderate conditions in the hilly areas, the eastern plains and the Badia region, while it will be hot in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern cities will hover around 30 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 20 and 18 respectively, while mercury levels in the southern governorates will range between a high of 28 and a low of 17. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 40 degrees and lows standing at 28, the JMD added.
A slight in mercury levels is expected on Thursday, but similar moderate weather will continue in the hilly areas and the Badia region, while it will be relatively hot in other parts of the country, the JMD added.
Light showers, with clouds at low altitudes are also forecast in the northern parts of the Kingdom on Thursday, with northwesterly moderate to brisk wind, blowing dust in the desert areas.
Temperatures will rise few degrees on Friday, bringing normal summer conditions in the hilly areas and the eastern plains, while it will be hot to relatively hot in other parts of the country, the JMD added further.
