Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, Ayman Safadi, briefed the Cabinet on Monday on the issues his ministry is following up on, top of which are the Jewish nation-state law and Israeli violations in Jerusalem.
Minister of State for Media Affairs and Government Spokesperson, Jumana Ghneimat, said that during today's cabinet meeting, the Foreign Minister underlined the Jordanian fundamentals concerning the Palestinian issue, and that Jordan would not give up on the quest for a final solution leading to the establishment of a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Regarding the Jewish nation-state law recently adopted by the Israeli Knesset, Ghneimat said that Jordan had lodged a protest with the Israeli occupation authorities in this context, stressing that Jordan rejects the bill that promotes racism and enshrines Israel as a racist state.
She also pointed out that the foreign minister briefed the government on the Syrian citizens who entered the Kingdom during the past 48 hours and the agreement reached with Britain, Canada and Germany to allow them entry to the Kingdom for a short stay.
A total of 422 Syrians had crossed to the Kingdom on Sunday for a period "not exceeding three months until they are resettled in the UK, Germany and Canada."
