Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Anti-virus software pioneer John McAfee said he was unconscious for two days after his enemies tried to kill him.
Images of McAfee lying in the intensive care unit of a hospital in North Carolina circulated after he shared the news on his Twitter page. The McAfee Technology founder said his rivals previously threated to kill him, and claims that they poisoned him.
He spoke on Twitter of the alleged death plot and shared two photos of himself connected to tubes in a hospital bed.
McAfee wrote in a series of tweets on Friday, “I apologize for my three day absence but I was unconscious for two days at the Vidant Medical Center in North Carolina and I just woke up.”
McAfee did not disclose details of the incident or when the alleged poisoning attempt took place.
In another tweet he wrote: “My enemies [managed] to spike something that I ingested. However, I am more difficult to kill than anyone can possibly imagine. I am back.”
McAfee also addressed those responsible for the incident and added, “and for those who did this - you will soon understand the true meaning of wrath. I know exactly who you are. You had better be gone."
In subsequent tweets, he shared updates and photographs of his condition and said he had left the hospital on Saturday.
The 72-year-old British-born tech executive founded McAfee Associates in 1987, and eventually resigned in 1994. He reportedly sold his shares in the company for $ 100 million.
