King, Amir of Kuwait hold talks on bilateral ties, Mideast issues

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, held talks on Tuesday focusing on the relations between the two countries and regional developments.
During the talks held at Dasman Palace, King Abdullah and Sheikh Sabah voiced pride in the distinguished level of Jordanian-Kuwaiti relations and keenness to expand mutual cooperation, particularly in the economic and trade fields and prospects for increasing Kuwaiti investments in the Kingdom in a number of vital sectors.
In this context, the King expressed Jordan's appreciation for Kuwait's supportive stances of the Kingdom in various circumstances.
The two leaders stressed the importance of maintaining coordination and consultation between the two countries on various regional issues and challenges, thus serving the Arab nation and its just causes.
His Majesty the King underlined the importance of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's efforts in serving Arab causes and enhancing pan-Arab solidarity.
The talks also dealt with current developments in the region and the need to reach political solutions to regional crises as well as the war on terror within a holistic approach.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah expressed his deep appreciation for the honorable positions of Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, to stand by Arab brothers and the important role played by His Majesty to serve Arab issues, strengthen pan-Arab cooperation and bring about regional stability.
The talks were attended by top officials from both countries.
