Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - An armed man who tried to rob money from an exchange office in Amman's Nazzal District has been arrested, a statement by the Directorate of Public Security (PSD) said Tuesday.

According to the statement, the main operations room in central Amman police directorate was informed Monday afternoon that a man has threatened, at gun point, a money exchange cashier in Nazzal ordering to give him money.

"After the cashier rejected the order refusing to give any money, and his attempt to rob the exchange failed, the suspect hid his gun, told the employee that he was only joking and quickly fled the scene. Specifications of the suspect were circulated and soon the Preventive Security personnel were able to arrest him and seized his weapon. During the interrogation the suspect confessed to the attempted robbery, the statement added.
