King : Always thinking of improving Jordanians' living conditions

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II was keen to intervene directly to offer assistance to a group of underprivileged citizens during a phone call with host of "Frankly with Rotana" program, Yasser Al-Nosour, aired by the Rotana Radio on Sunday morning.

After listening to different cases of underprivileged citizens, the King affirmed during the call the need to meet the citizens' needs, saying "it is our duty to stand with them and help them."

Under His Majesty's immediate response to meet those citizens' needs, the King said he directed concerned parties in the Royal Court to follow up conditions of those citizens, and to provide them with the necessary aid.

During the call, His Majesty affirmed his keenness to support the sons and daughters of the martyrs, underlining: "They have all my support and they are always the subject of our care and attention."

"This is the least we can offer, and I have spoken more than once. I never miss a day thinking about how we can alleviate on our people and improve their conditions," the King said.

His Majesty urged the program's crew to maintain following up on citizens' concerns, saying the right role for professional media is to highlight matters affecting people's lives.

The "Frankly with Rotana" program, which shed light on living and health needs of a number of citizens, discussed the case of widow Etaf Khawaldeh, who suffers from severe vision problems, spends on 5 children and lives in a rented house.

The program also highlighted the case of Firas Bani Abdu, who is unable to work, and spends on a family of nine and lives in a dilapidated house. It also showcased conditions of the widow of the martyr Khaled Hawamdeh, Lara Aql, a mother of five, and suffers from cerebrospinal fluid.
