Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Hani Mulki praised the Public Security Department's (PSD) efforts to protect lives and property and preserve national achievements, and urged firmness and fairness in the enforcement of the law.
In a meeting with PSD Director-General, Maj. Gen. Fadel Al-Hamoud, attended by Interior Minister Samir Mubaidin, the prime minister said the public security personnel's round-the-clock policing and social services are of an advanced level that is most admirable and commendable.
He vowed zero-tolerence in enforcing the rule of law, and stressed the need to impose the prestige of the state equally on all, pursue the outlaws and bring them to justice.
He also reiterated the government's full support of the PSD to enable it to carry out its duties and key tasks, especially in combating crime, preserving national gains and providing security to all citizens and those living in the country.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the government's vision of economic reform, attracting investment and stimulating the economy can not succeed without creating the appropriate security environment and fairly imposing the rule of law.
He urged the department to review all its security plans and strategies and promptly modify and them "in line with societal and political variables, and in a manner to contribute to improving the police service and curb crime."
For his part, Hamoud said that his security agency was aware of the challenges facing the country and the responsibility it undertakes in enforcing the law, maintaining security and stability and providing security for all those living in the Kingdom.
He said the PSD should revisit its security strategy and upgrade it in accordance with the security, criminal and traffic developments to keep pace with advancements in the policing work.
