Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Photos of a woman giving birth in Egypt in the Red Sea in the South Sinai Governorate went viral on social media after a Russian tourist snapped photos from her balcony and posted them online.

The woman, also believed to be a Russian tourist, gave birth in the sea with the aid of a Russian doctor who specializes in water births.

Egyptian media outlets, which verified the authenticity of the photos, said water births have recently become common, especially among Russians who go to deliver their babies in Dahab, northeast of the popular resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh.
