Ammon News - AMMONNEWS — Head of Foodstuff Traders Association Khalil Tawfiq said there are about 30 companies in Jordan that compete in importing red meat, rejecting as baseless claims that there is monopoly in this sector.
He also called for reconsidering conditions imposed on the import of red meat, adding that current conditions do not contribute to genuine competition in the market.
He added that the Association called on its members to increase imports to reduce prices of meat, which rose recently.
