King chairs meeting on national human resources development strategy

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Sunday chaired a meeting to follow up on the implementation of the National Strategy for Human Resources Development 2016-2025.

During the meeting, attended by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, His Majesty was briefed on efforts exerted to unify the work of various institutions and programs in the vocational training sector and uplifting their efficiency and the quality of training provided.

In this context, the King stressed the importance of employing modern technologies in education and introducing radical structural reforms in vocational education to upgrade this sector.

His Majesty said the government should accelerate the restructuring of the vocational and technical training sector, emphasizing that organizing this sector in an institutional fashion is a top priority.

King Abdullah commended the government's achievements in this area and said rigorous follow-up on program quality and implementation is necessary. He emphasized that there should be indicators and measures to pinpoint shortcomings as well as areas of success.

The use of modern technology in education is the best way to develop creativity and excellence among students, the King said, adding that this will positively reflect on the quality of education and contribute to advancing the overall educational process.
