Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to boost economic ties between Jordan and Hungary and open new markets for their industrial products.
The agreement, which was signed on the sidelines of the Jordanian-Hungarian business forum held two days ago in Budapest, also aims at increasing cooperation between the two chambers and investment opportunities mainly in the industrial field.
The agreement is a move to reach industrial integration between the two countries especially as Hungary enjoys many input materials necessary for many of Jordanian industries, while the Jordanian industrial sector considers Hungary as a gateway to the markets of Eastern European countries.
ACI member of the board of directors, Fathi Jagbeer, who signed the agreement, said it aims at boosting economic ties between the private sectors in both countries as well as exchanging information of issues of mutual concern including holding fairs and exhibitions in each other's country.
"The two sides also agreed to organize and exchange visits of economic delegations and to hold periodic meetings between representatives of the two chambers", he said.
"The signing of the agreement comes as part of the chamber policy in seeking new export markets for Jordanian industries, Jaghbir said.
