13-04-2017 12:40 PM

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan on Thursday slammed Israel for allowing large numbers of Israeli forces-backed settlers to storm Al Aqsa Mosque yards.

Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications and Government Spokesman Mohammed Al Momani said that Jordan strongly rejects such provocative acts, which provoke feelings of Muslims around the world.

Momani urged the international community to shoulder its responsibility, including urging Israel as the occupying power to honour its obligations according to the international and humanitarian law with regard to East Jerusalem.

Such condemned and rejects acts, the minister said, undermine stability and serve as a slap to all international efforts to breathe life into the peace process, based on the two-state solution.
