Aqaba declares emergency to deal with weather conditions

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) declared, on Wednesday, a state of alert to deal with the unstable weather conditions prevailing across the port city of Aqaba which might result flashfloods there.

The city Commissioner, Abdullah Yaseen, told Petra that the authority activated its emergency plan in association with all partners as the city was divided to 8 districts through which personnel, vehicles and pumps for water will be distributed.

Yaseen urged the public to stay at home and restrict their movements to emergencies and avoid areas of floodwaters, in order to enable ASEZA's personnel to carry out their duties properly.
