Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The State Security Court (SSC) on Monday heard the testimonies of six witnesses in the case of a 2016 deadly terrorist attack on an army outpost on the northeastern border.
In June 2016, seven Jordanian border guards were killed by a suicide bomber, who drove a car at speed across the border from Syria and rammed it into a military post.
The court heard the testimony of a pathologist, who conducted the post-mortem examination on 7 people who were killed in the al-Rukban suicide attack, and concluded that the death was caused by injuries they sustained in the blast.
It also heard the testimonies of 3 military personnel who witnessed the terror attack and described the explosion scene.
An explosives expert witness also stepped forward and confirmed that the blast was caused by homemade explosives.
The defence attorney and the defendants asked the court to present their statements in the coming session. The court postponed the session until next week for this purpose.
