Jordan hails UAE's assistance to refugees

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan's Interior Ministry Ghaleb Al Zoubi has thanked the UAE for providing relief aid and healthcare to Syrian refugees in Jordan, and noted that the efforts are the fruit of fraternal co-operation with the UAE that seeks to help Jordan in shouldering the burden of hosting refugees.

He made the remark during a visit to the Mrajeeb Al Fhood refugee camp, east of Zarqa Governorate, that is jointly run by the UAE and Jordan.

Director of the camp and head of the UAE relief team Abdullah Al Mehrezi briefed the Jordanian minister on the team's achievements.

He praised the Jordanian security authorities for their efforts in safeguarding the camp.

Relief efforts being made by the UAE to help Syrian refugees are in response to directives from the country's leadership and are being followed up by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region and President of the Emirates Red Crescent.
