In a press conference in which he outlined the activities of the third day of the summit, Al Momani said His Majesty the King will discuss with the US administration challenges facing the Arab nation, especially the centrality of the Palestinian cause and the issue of Jerusalem.

His Majesty's talks with senior US officials will also address the issues of terrorism and extremism and overcoming conflicts facing some Arab countries.

On the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz’s visit to the Kingdom, the minister said Jordan welcomes this important visit, which will include meetings and signing of agreements that will cement the historic and deep relations between the two brotherly countries.

On the reopening of the Trebil border crossing with Iraq, Al Momani said re-opening the crossing is a Jordanian- Iraqi interest that will help restore normal trade exchange after a long period of closure.

Al-Momani pointed out that the Arab summit sends an important message to the whole world that the Palestinian issue remains the most important issue for the Arab nation.

He stressed that the absence of a comprehensive and just solution based on international resolutions is a sole and direct cause of many conflicts in the region.

Al-Momani stressed the need to support the legitimacy in Yemen and rejecting any foreign interference in its affairs.

He pointed out that Jordan is part of the Arab alliance led by Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries to support legitimacy in Yemen.

He also voiced rejection of Iranian interference in Arab affairs, its continuous occupation of the UAE three islands and its attempts to intervene in the Gulf’s internal affairs and destabilize security are strongly condemned.

With regard to Syria, Al Momani stressed the importance of supporting a political process to end the Syrian conflict by consensus of all parties.

On Libya, the minister said the Arab summit will support the outcomes of the "Skhirat" agreement in Morocco, even if there is a Libyan debate, as this agreement considered the most acceptable of the various parties in Libya.

Al-Momani gave a briefing on the discussions in the meetings of the Arab League's Economic and Social Council at the level of ministers in preparation for the Arab leaders’ meeting, pointing out that Jordan assumed the council’s presidency.

He said the important decision adopted by the council was the Cairo Declaration on Arab Women and the Arab Strategy for the Advancement of Women 2030, which came after a long debate between Arab countries.

"We in Jordan are proud that the strategy was adopted at the Amman Arab Summit in 2017. We hope that it will be a true supporter for Arab women to strengthen their position in Arab societies and contribute to the development of these societies," he added.

With regard to the fight against terrorism, Al Momani noted that the Arab League's Economic and Social Council emphasized on terrorism’s social dimension, adding that the war is not only a military one but also a security, ideological, media and comprehensive war, as His Majesty King Abdullah II has always stressed.

"His Majesty the King in all his talks defends our religion, civilization, tolerance and moderation which terrorist gangs try to use to commit their crimes," he said.

Al-Momani outlined the most important challenges facing the Arab world, including pan-Arab trade and foreign investments in Arab countries, which are still at modest rates, in addition to unemployment rates, which in some countries reach about 30 percent.

Al-Momani talked about the initiative of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein Bin Abdullah II "the Amman Declaration on Youth, Peace and Security," issued by the Global Forum on Youth, Peace and Security held in August 2015, as the UN Security Council adopted the Jordanian initiative in its 2250 resolution.
