Pm meets World Bank vice president

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS -Prime Minister Hani Mulki met on Thursday, with Vice President of the World Bank for the Middle East and North Africa Hafez Ghanem and the accompanying delegation.



During the meeting, which was attended by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Imad Fakhoury, Mulki said the government looks forward to the WB's technical and financial support to the government's programs in the administrative reform field and in developing human resources and the educational system in the Kingdom.



The government, he said attaches special attention to reforming the public sector and enhancing good governance to eliminate bureaucracy that hinders work.



The prime minister said that the government had worked to activate a law on partnership between the public and private sectors to carry out strategic projects including the Tafileh Public Hospital, the new Amman customs project in the Madouna area as well as another project to develop the King Hussein Bridge.



The WB official highlighted the role of partnership between Jordan and the WB in implementing development programs and plans in a number of fields.



He also praised the partnership between the public and private sectors in Jordan in carrying out mega projects such as the Queen Alia International Airport Terminal that improved services offered to passengers.
