Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Hani Mulki attended the signing of an agreement to implement the new Amman Customs Project (Madona) at a total cost of JD93 million.
The cabinet approved in March 2016 the go-ahead for construction of the Amman Customs Centre's new premises in Madona on the Ring Road east of Amman. it is one of the most important strategic projects that will be implemented this year by the public and private sectors.
The project will contribute to the development of the Madona area and Eastern Amman during and after its completion and will ease the pressure on traffic in East Amman after the current Amman Customs Center is relocated to the new site.
The new project will also contribute to improving performance and facilitating measures as it would be a model center that is established with the use of modern techniques.
The agreement was signed by Minister of Public Works and Housing Sami Halasah and Director General of Mohammad Ahmad Abu Eisha & Bros. Contracting Company Amjad Abu Eisha in the presence the ministers of finance and industry and trade and the director of Jordan Customs.
The prime minister said that the government worked to activate partnership between the public and private sector to establish various projects including government buildings, hospitals and schools.
