Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), on Monday, received a number of vehicles granted by the Japanese government, that would be used to extend services to the Syrian refugees.
A ceremony was held in the presence of Japan's Ambassador to Jordan, Shuichi Sakurai, and JAF's Head of Strategic Planning and Defense Resources, Brigadier Nassar Athamnah.
Ambassador Sakurai said the Japanese government has provided an amount of $5.17 million for the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) last year, to implement a humanitarian project to respond to the Syrian crisis, by granting vehicles that would provide high quality services to the Syrian refugees.
Athamnah thanked the Japanese government for this grant.
