Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II returned home Saturday at the end of a working trip to the United States where he held talks with President Donald Trump and top administration officials and congressional leaders.
The King held meetings with US Vice President Mike Pence, defence secretary James Mattis, Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly and national security adviser Michael Flynn. The talks emphasized the strategic Jordanian-US partnership and also dealt with the fight against terrorism and regional crises, including Syria and the need for stepped up efforts to revive the stalled Palestinian-Israeli peace process.
The King warned that moving the US embassy to Jerusalem would stir up anger in the Arab and Muslim worlds and undermine efforts to achieve peace between the Palestinians and Israel.
The King had earlier held talks in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
