Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A tangible in temperatures is expected on Tuesday, but chilly conditions with partly cloudy skies will continue to prevail during daytime.
According to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), drizzles accompanied with snow showers are also expected in the southern and central parts of the Kingdom. At night, temperatures will further plummet causing freeze and frost formation in the highlands and the Badia regions.
Daytime temperatures expected in Amman and the southern areas will reach 6 degrees Celsius, dipping to minus 1 in the capital and minus 2 in the southern parts. In the northern parts temperatures will range between a high of 7 degrees and a low of minus 2 at night, while mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will register 16 degrees during the day, dropping down to 7 degrees at night, it added.
A slight rise in temperatures is forecast over the next two days, therefore cold weather will prevail in the hilly areas, the desert regions and the eastern plains, while it will be relatively cold in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba.
Frost formation is also expected Thursday and Friday in the hilly areas, the Badia regions and the eastern plains, the JMD added.
