Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Cold, cloudy and rainy weather continues on Saturday as the Kingdom will remain under the effect of the cold front, according to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD). Light snow is also expected on hilly areas 1000 meters above sea level.
The effect of the low depression is expected to tapper off in the afternoon but the chance remains for snow on mountainous regions 1100 meters above sea level. Frost formation is also expected in the late hours of tonight in many regions of the Kingdom.
Winds will be north westerly moderate to brisk with strong gusts at times.
A slight rise in temperatures is expected tomorrow, but they will remain 4 degree below their seasonal average. Therefore, cold and partly cloudy conditions will continue with a continued chance for light snow on the southern hilly areas.
Temperature will further rise on Monday, but the weather will remain cold in hilly areas Badia and eastern plains, while it will be relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba.
Temperatures in Amman for today will range between a High of 5 degrees and a low of -1, while mercury levels in Aqaba will register a high of 15 degrees dropping down to 8 degree at night.
