Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Cold conditions are expected to prevail Sunday in the hilly areas, the Badia regions and the eastern plains, while it will be relatively warm in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.
According to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), clouds will appear at various altitudes with a chance of scattered rain in the central and northern parts of the Kingdom. Winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk.
Temperatures will after midnight, forming frost in the highlands, the desert regions, the eastern plains, as well as parts of the Northern Jordan Valley.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in the capital and the northern regions will range between 12 degrees Celsius reaching 4 degrees at night, while in the southern governorates they will register a high of 12 degrees and a low of 1 degree at night. Mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will go up to 22 degrees dropping to 11 at night, the JMD added.
A slight rise in temperatures is forecast on Monday and Tuesday, bringing be relatively cold conditions in most regions, while it will be relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba. Frost formation is also expected after midnight, with southeasterly moderate winds, the JMD said.
