Algerian president invited to Arab summit in Jordan

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal on Thursday received Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of State for Investment Affairs Jawad Anani who handed him an invitation from His Majesty King Abdullah II to Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika to attend the Arab summit, which will be held in Jordan next March.

During the meeting, the Algerian premier praised the King's efforts to solve Arab issues and bolster the joint Arab action. He also stressed the importance of enhancing the role of the Arab league.

On bilateral ties, the Algerian prime minister said he was keen to hold the meeting of the Joint Jordanian-Algerian Committee, slated to convene next May.
