Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is forecast on Thursday, but it will remain relatively cold in the desert areas and the eastern plains with clouds at low altitudes .
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), temperatures will after midnight causing frost formation in the hilly areas, the Badia region and the eastern plains.
Daytime temperatures expected in the capital for today will reach14 degrees Celsius dropping to 5 degrees at night, while in the southern regions they will register 14 degrees during the day dipping to one degree below zero, the JMD added.
Mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will go up to 23 degrees dropping down to 10 at night.
As for the next two days, the JMD said that temperatures will further but similar cold conditions will continue to prevail across the country with frost formation over the highlands after midnight.
