Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Friday received a phone call from his Turkish counterpart Binali Yildirim, during which the recent Turkish-Russian ceasefire agreement in Syria was discussed.
During the phone call, the Turkish premier expressed his condolences to the people and government of Jordan over the victims of recent terrorist attacks in the southern city of Karak. He also reiterated the importance of united international efforts to fight terrorism.
Meanwhile, the Turkish prime minister said he hopes the ceasefire agreement will a solid ground to launch a political process in Syria that, ultimately, would ensure the return of Syrian refugees.
The Jordanian premier, on his part, reiterated Jordan’s firm stance which calls for finding a political solution to the Syrian crisis. He also voiced hoped that the Russian-Turkish agreement would serve as a catalyst for other efforts that would stop the bloodshed in Syria.
The Turkish premier extended an official invitation to Mulki to visit Turkey, which the latter accepted and promised to make the visit early next year to discuss means to bolster ties between the two countries.
