King invites Palestinian president to Arab summit

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas received in the West Bank city of Ramallah on Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh, who handed him an invitation from His Majesty King Abdullah II to attend the Arab summit in March.

Judeh conveyed the greetings of His Majesty to president Abbas as well as the King's wishes of progress and prosperity to the Palestinian people.

The minister highlighted the importance of president Abbas's participation in the summit as the Palestinian issue tops the agenda of the summit, and considered by Jordan as the core of conflict in the region.

Judeh affirmed His majesty's keenness to maintain cooperation and coordination with the Palestinians in the interest of both peoples.

The Palestinian president voiced his appreciation of King Abdullah's supportive stance towards the Palestinians in their quest to achieve their legitimate rights.
