King invites UAE President to Amman Summit

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE ), Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Defense, on Monday, received Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign an Expatriate Affairs, Nasser Judeh, who handed him a letter of invitation from His Majesty King Abdullah II to UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to participate in the Arab summit to be hosted by the Kingdom in March next year.

During the meeting, Judeh conveyed His Majesty the King's greetings and best wishes to the UAE President for further progress and prosperity to the United Arab Emirates, describing as "brotherly and distinguished" the relationship between King Abdullah and Sheikh Khalifa, the two countries and the two peoples.

Sheikh Mohammad stressed the importance of holding the summit under the chairmanship of His Majesty the King, as it is taking place at a time as the region and the Arab nation are witnessing many challenges that require holding the summit to discuss them, as well as promoting joint Arab cooperation and settling disputes.

King Abdullah has a lot of respect and appreciation for his efforts and pivotal and important role, in dealing with the Arab and the region's issues, as well as his role in promoting joint Arab action, Sheikh Mohammad noted.

Judeh expressed appreciation for the UAE's support to Jordan in all areas.

Sheikh Mohammed denounced the terrorist and cowardly incident that took place in the southern city of Karak and offered his condolences to His Majesty the King, to the Jordanian people and the families of the martyrs.
