Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Wednesday, received Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Aboul Gheit in the presence of State Minister for Foreign Affairs Bishr Khasawneh.
Talks during the meeting dealt with preparations for the Arab Summit that will be hosted by Jordan March next year.
Mulki said that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, hopes that the upcoming Arab Summit, will provide an opportunity to boost joint Arab action, and reach political understanding on issues and challenges facing the Arab nation, and address them far from any foreign interference.
The prime minister affirmed Jordan's support to activating the role of the Arab League as well as the joint Arab action, recalling the speech of His Majesty the King at the Arab summit in Mauritanian that supported mechanisms to develop joint Arab action.
The Arab League chief voiced appreciation of Jordan's role under the leadership of His Majesty to enhance joint Arab action.
He stressed his confidence that the upcoming Arab summit will discuss all the challenges facing the Arab nation, and that it will be attended by high level delegations.
