Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Governor General of Canada David Johnston and his wife will pay a several-day state visit to the Kingdom on October 29 as part of a regional tour.

During the visit, His Majesty King Abdullah II and the governor general will hold talks on means to forge closer cooperation between Jordan and Canada in various fields, as well as the latest regional and international developments.

The governor general will also meet a number of senior Jordanian officials.

The visit comes within keenness of both Jordan and Canada to strengthen bilateral ties that are progressively developing, especially after the Jordanian-Canadian Free Trade Agreement entered into force in late 2012.
