Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Interior, Salamah Hammad, said his ministry has taken logistical and security measures to support the national electoral commission, which is responsible for administering and supervising Tuesday's parliamentary elections.

Welcoming a delegation representing Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE ), the minister said the government was keen to provide the necessary support to ensure transparency and integrity of the polls.

Hammad noted that the Letter of Designation to the government had emphasized the importance of supporting the Independent Election Commission so as it could fulfill its role.

On their part, the delegation valued the efforts being exerted by various local bodies to safeguard transparency of the electoral process and the Kingdom's reform process as a whole.
