Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - -The deadline for accepting withdrawal applications from candidates, who registered to run in the upcoming parliamentary elections is Friday, September 9, according to the Independent Elections Commission's board of commissioners.

According to Article 17 of the Election Law, no candidate is allowed to withdraw from the race by writing to head of the elections in any constituency. The Elections Law allows candidates to withdraw from the race until 10 days before the elections.

The board of commissioners set Tuesday, September 20, 2016 as the date for the 18th Lower House polls.
