Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II, Thursday, held talks with President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades on bilateral ties and ways to bolster them in various domains.
Talks also touched on the latest developments in the Middle East and the need for cooperation and coordination among various stakeholders and players to enhance security and stability in the region.
The two leaders held a one-on-one session, before being joined by top aides, where they reiterated their keenness to enhance joint cooperation. They also discussed means to build on the results of the Cypriot President's visit to Jordan last November and the outcomes of the Jordanian-Cypriot Business Forum which was held during the same month.
In statements during the talks, King Abdullah said that Jordan was keen to develop ties with Cyprus in different fields, mainly in areas of investment, energy, IT and tourism.
Upon arrival at the Presidential Palace, King Abdullah was accorded an official reception, where a guard of honor greeted him and a brass band played the national anthems of Cyprus and Jordan.
Earlier in the day, HRH Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein was sworn in as a Regent.
