New ambassadors present credentials

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II, Sunday, received credentials of a number newly-appointed ambassadors to the Kingdom.

During a ceremony held at the, Basman Palace, envoys of India, Shubhdarshini Tripathi, Australia, Miles Robert Armitag, Sweden, Erik Ullenhag, Canada, Peter MacDougall, non-resident ambassador of Cuba, Rogerio Manuel Santana, Nicolae Comanescu of Romania and the Egyptian envoy, Tariq Adel, presented their credentials to the King.

Upon arrival at the Basman Palace, the King reviewed the guard of honour as a military band played the national anthems of Jordan and the ambassadors' respective countries.

The diplomats laid wreaths on the tombs of King Hussein, King Abdullah I, and King Talal.

Royal Court chief and deputy prime minister and foreign minister attended the ceremony.
