Police investigate fire at candidate's tent

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Police were investigation a fire that destroyed the tent of an election candidate in a constituency of the northern Irbid governorate, according to police.

A reliable security source said the dawn fire in the Irbid first district of Al Qasabah and Wasatiyeh, destroyed the tent, which serves as the election headquarters of the candidate, and that all its contents were completely gutted. It said the criminal lab experts were at the site collecting clues before filing a report on the cause of the fire that states whether the tent was deliberately set ablaze or was an accident.

It was the first such incident recorded since the campaign for the Sept. 20 parliamentary elections began last month.
