Egyptian president receives Mulki

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al Sisi received at Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo on Wednesday, Prime Minister Hani Mulki in the presence of Egyptian Prime Minister Sharif Ismail, Minister of Defense and Military Production Sedqi Sobhi, and Jordan's Ambassador in Cairo Bishr Khasawneh.

Al Sisi asked Mulki to deliver his well wishes to His Majesty King Abdullah II. He also praised the outcome of the King's recent visit to Egypt that reflected the strong cooperation and coordination between the two countries in various fields, as well as their keenness to strengthen bilateral ties.

The prime minister conveyed the greetings of His Majesty to the Egyptian president as well as his hope to continue cooperation in various domains.

Mulki said the exchange of bilateral visits reflects the strong will of both sides to forge closer ties between Jordan and Egypt.

Both the Egyptian president and Mulki hailed the meetings of the Joint Jordanian-Egyptian Higher Committee that were held in Cairo earlier today.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of translating the results of the committee's meetings into reality to boost bilateral cooperation at all levels.

They also welcomed the signing of documents on cooperation that covered a number of fields.

On the current Arab situation, Al Sisi and Mulki stressed the position of both Jordan and Egypt that calls for reaching political settlement to crises in a number of Arab countries to preserve their national institutions, and pave the way for reconstruction to encourage refugees to return to their homes.

They also highlighted the need to continue efforts to develop the Arab League as it will effectively contribute to efforts to achieve Arab economic integration as well as development in the Arab world through boosting joint Arab action.
