Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Thursday turned down nomination applications tendered by a number of candidates from a number of constituencies.
The IEC Spokesman Jihad Momani said that the nomination requests were rejected because they failed to meet all candidacy criteria. The IEC board held an extraordinary meeting, during which it rejected six nomination bids, Momani added.
One list was disqualified to continue the electoral race, because it failed to meet the minimum number of members required as per the law, the spokesman said.
