EU deploys 26 elections observers throughout Kingdom

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A European Union mission that will observe forthcoming parliamentary elections slated for September 20th, on Wednesday, deployed a total of 26 observers throughout the Kingdom, following an official invitation by the Jordanian government. European Union Observation Mission (EOM) Chief Observer Jo Leinen said it was the second time for the bloc to monitor parliamentary polls in Jordan, adding that the vote is an important step in the reform process in the Kingdom.

He said the mission will be neutral and independent and will not interfere in the electoral process or oversee its course, hoping that the mission contributes to a credible, transparent and all-encompassing vote.
