Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Thursday received Deputy Russian Foreign Minister and Russian President's Special Envoy to the Middle East Michael Bogdanov and discussed the latest regional developments and bilateral ties in various domains.
During the meeting, the premier spoke about the repercussions of the Syrian crisis on Jordan, adding that the Kingdom hosts more than 1.3 million Syrian refugees, of whom 10 percent only live in refugee camps. Mulki voiced hope Russia would urge the international community to provide more support to Jordan to help it deal with the ramifications of the Syrian refugees.
On the political side, the PM reiterated Jordan's stance, which calls for a political solution to the Syrian crisis, while exerting efforts to solve the broader Middle Eastern problems and crises.
The visiting Russian official said his visit aims to look at the Jordanian stance towards the regional developments, while praising the Kingdom's leading role in enhancing regional stability and security.
