Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II, Thursday, emphasized the importance of stepping up cooperation with Russia and the US in order to reach a political and comprehensive solution to the Syrian crisis.

During a meeting here with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Envoy for the Middle East and North Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov, the King tackled latest developments in Syria and ways to address them to safeguard its territorial integrity and ease the plight of its people.

The Russian official said his country appreciates the Kingdom's efforts in dealing with the Syrian refuge crisis, in addition to the humanitarian services provided to the refugees.

Bogdanov also stressed Russia's support to provide all "appropriate conditions" for the return of the Syrian refugees to their country.
