Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister, Hani Mulki, on Thursday opened a project for the cultivation of green and dry fodders in Um Rumaneh area in the Jiza District south of Amman.
This national project, is implemented by Bait Alkair Charity for the production of fodder crops used for animal feed, primarily for the Awassi sheep breed in Jordan. The project will be implemented on a 15,000-dunum area, including 6,000 dunums in Jiza and 3,000 dunums in Thiban District south of Madaba.
Mulki checked on the project which began 2 months ago on a 600-dunum area, and affirmed the government's support to charity and cooperative societies to enable them to implement agricultural projects that contribute to addressing the problems of poverty and unemployment.
He also highlighted the importance of developing these projects into industrial projects to achieve development in the area, and employ hundreds of Jordanians in these areas.
