Official: No earthquake hit Jordan today

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Director of Geology Directorate at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ali Sawaraih, ruled out reports that an earthquake that it hit Tafila governorate Sunday evening as some news portals reported.

Sawaraih told Petra that the Jordanian Seismology Observatory, didn't record any seismic activity or an earthquake, anywhere in the Kingdom, noting that what citizens of Tafileh had felt, according to news sites, may possibly be caused by construction works in the area.
