Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Thursday affirmed that the state should protect all citizens, especially those on duty, while rejecting any attacks on public sector employees and officials.
The premier made the remarks during visits he made to the Jordan Radio and TV Corp and Income & Sales Tax Department, whose top officials were recently attacked by employees, in protest of administrative decisions.
"What happened was a shameful crime and the perpetrators would be sued according to law," the premier said. Any attack on a public employee is immoral and rejected, the prime minister said, while adding that there will be zero tolerance to such attacks.
The PM made solidarity visits to Chairman of the Board of the Jordan TV and Radio Corporation George Hawatmeh and Director General of the Income and Sales Department Bashar Sabir and reiterated that the government appreciates the efforts exerted by the two national institutions.
