Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Interior Minister Salamah Hammad on Saturday chaired a meeting at the Madaba Governorate Security Council in the presence of Director of the Public Security Department (PSD) Major General Atef Saudi and Director General of the Gendarmerie Department Major General Hussein Hawatmeh.
The minister said that the challenges facing Jordan as well as the situation in the region, placed an increasing pressure on the security, political and economic system in the Kingdom, adding that this requires efforts and continued work to ensure that they won't reflect on various aspects of life.
Hammad said that the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II and his wise policies in dealing with internal and external challenges helped Jordan to gain the respect and appreciation of the world.
He said all state institutions and the Jordanian society appreciate efforts being exerted by the armed forces and security agencies to preserve security and stability in the country.
The minister also met a delegation representing citizens of Theeban District during which he ordered that all suspects who have been detained following the recent violence be released.
They also agreed to help unemployed citizens to find job opportunities in the private sector as it is impossible to appoint them in the public sector without the Civil Service Bureau that is subject to special regulations.
