Lower House passes amended draft laws

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Lower House on Sunday, endorsed a number of amended draft laws, which the government sent to the House last week, giving them the status of urgency in line with the constitutional amendments passed recently.

During a session chaired by House Speaker, Atif Tarawneh, and attended by Prime Minister, Abdullah Ensour, the House approved bills amending the 2016 Elections Law, the 2016 Independence of the Judiciary and the 2016 Independent Election Commission law.

The session also saw the endorsement of the gendarmerie draft law as well as that of the General Intelligence law.
