Jordan, France seek legal, judicial cooperation

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Justice Minister, Bassam Talhouni, during an official visit to France, met his counterpart, Jean-Jacques Urvoas, and discussed with him ways to bolster legal and judicial cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting, attended by senior French officials, also tackled ongoing developments in the region and their impact at the local, regional and international levels.
This visit comes at the invitation of the French government to promote cooperation between the two countries and to look at the legislative and other legal progress achieved by France, the minister said in a statement on Wednesday.
While in France, Talhouni reviewed the most prominent projects and plans of his ministry, pointing to the most important achievements over the past years in judges training field, courts computerization and strengthening institutional capacity, rehabilitation of court buildings and developing new judicial techniques.
France's minister hailed the Jordanian ministry's efforts to achieve justice and its supportive services to the judiciary system. He said his country is keen to maintain mutual cooperation in all fields to serve the interests of both countries.
