Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan's budget deficit has jumped to JD928.6 million in 2015 compared to JD583.5 million in 2014, according to official figures.
A Summary of Fiscal Developments issued by the ministry showed that the 2015 deficit accounted for 3.4 per cent of the GDP compared to 2.3 of 2014 GDP.
Data showed that the state budget deficit, excluding external foreign grants, reached to JD1.81 billion, or 6.7 per cent of the 2015 GDP, compared with fiscal deficit of JD1.82 billion, or 7.2 per cent for 2014. Total revenues and foreign grants amounted to JD 6.79 billion during 2015, compared to JD 7.26 billion during 2014, reflecting a decrease of JD 471.5 million.
Foreign grants amounted to JD 886.2 million during 2015 compared to JD 1.23 billion at the end of 2014.
Total expenditures amounted to JD 7.72 billion during 2015, compared to JD 7.85 billion during 2014, reflecting a decrease of JD126.5 million.
