Jordan condemns attack in Egyptian city of El Arish

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan has condemned the terrorist attack in the Egyptian city of El Arish yesterday, that left 13 policemen dead and 12 others injured while on duty.

State Minister for Media Affairs and the Government Spokesperson Mohammad Momani, voiced Jordan's strong condemnation of the terrorist and cowardly attack that targeted policemen, and aimed at destabilizing Egypt.

Momani also stressed the Jordanian government's support to Egypt in facing terrorism. He also offered condolences to the Egyptian people and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

The minister also reiterated Jordan's rejection of all forms of terrorism and extremism that aim at destabilizing security and spreading chaos. He also stressed the need for concerted international efforts to fight terrorism and dry up its sources of finance to prevent it from targeting humanitarian, religious and security values.
