Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The country will be affected by a cold wet air mass on Sunday, bringing down temperatures to around their annual average. Therefore cold conditions will prevail on most parts of the Kingdom, while it will be mild in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), clouds will be at low altitudes with a chance for scattered showers, while winds will be westerly brisk blowing dust in most regions and reducing horizontal visibility.
Similar weather conditions are forecast to prevail on Monday with drizzles in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom, while winds will be westerly to northwesterly moderate to brisk blowing dust in the desert regions.
At night, conditions will start to stabilize gradually, while winds will be southwesterly light to moderate with fog formation over the hilly areas.
A slight rise in temperatures is forecast on Tuesday, but it will remain relatively cold in the hilly areas and moderate on other parts of the country with clouds at various altitudes and westerly to northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD forecaster said.
Maximum temperatures expected in Amman for today will reach a high of 16 degrees Celsius and a low of 7 degrees at night, while mercury levels will hit 23 degrees dropping down to 14 degrees at night.
